We have been asked a lot about the mini client site feature in our new full client system. Here is a run-down of the ins and outs of the mini site:
What is it?
When you add a client a small website is automatically generated for your clients. With this site you can add text sections, general galleries, and external links via its very own admin. When you add proofing to the client it will automatically show up, with the integrated shopping cart, on the front-end of the mini site.
What can I edit on the mini site?
you can edit, from its own admin, the following:
* general galleries
* external links
* text sections (just like your main site)
* copyright line
* splash page
The mini site will also display their proofing galleries that you set in your admin, as well as the watermark you upload in your own admin.
What would I use it for?
Anything you'd like! :-) Mostly we see this being useful to add to packages or to use the following ways:
* create a personal proofing experience with their own music, homepage slideshow, and proofing. This would also allow a direct link to their site
* give it to them when they purchase your services. They can then edit the site and send it to their family and friends... kind of like a hub for all information regarding their wedding/event. Once you add proofing the family and friends can just return to the same page to view the proofing galleries and order prints.
* setup a personal website they can visit to view all information about their upcoming shoot, what to bring and wear, things to know, etc.
