Image upload hangs on Mac
Posted by Sarah on 17 November 2010 10:47 AM

**This article ONLY applies to Mac users who have a template installed offserver (ie template is not hosted by us).**

When trying to upload to a gallery from a Mac, the sitezadmin "hangs" and/or the timer just spins and the upload doesn't complete, check with your host to determine if the Apache module - mod_security is installed.   Due to a bug in Flash on Mac browsers, mod_security refuses the upload. If this module is installed, a file needs to be created to turn off the errors generated.  You or your hosting provider can complete the following instructions to fix this issue:

Create and upload an .htaccess file in the main html directory with these lines of code:

<IfModule mod_security.c>
 SecFilterEngine Off
 SecFilterScanPOST Off
 </IfModule>

Clear browsing history/cache to ensure changes are accepted.
