Acquiring your Google+ ID when using a Vanity URL and Google+ API code:

Part 1.
Acquiring your Google+ ID when using a Vanity URL:

Step 1.
Login to your Google+ account http://plus.google.com. From the main page click the home icon at the top left of the screen to bring up a dropdown box. Click on Profile.



Step 2.
In the address bar of the web browser you should see something like the following. Your Google+ User ID is the long string of numbers following https://plus.google.com/



Part 2.
Acquiring your Google+ API code:

Step1.
Enter https://code.google.com/apis/console/b/0/ in your web browser's address bar. Login to your google account if you are not already logged in. On the next screen click the Create Project button:



Step 2.
Scroll down the page until you see Google+ API and click the button labeled "Off" to the right of it to turn it on:



Step 3.
Check the box next to "I have read and agree to all of the following terms of service" and then click the Accept button:



Step 4.
Scroll back up to the top of the page to find the listing for Google+ API as it is now shown as the first listing on the page. Now click on Google+ API to enter its settings screen. Now click the reports link at the top of the page:



Step 5.
Click the link labeled "API Access" from the menu on the left:



Step 6.
Click the button labeled "Create new Browser Key..."



Step 7.
Click the "Create" button. Please do not enter any text into the "Accept Requests From These HTTP Referers (Websites):" Field.



Step 8.
You will now find your API key located in the middle of the page.
