How can I upload a file to my site?

You can upload files (such as pdf's, word documents, psd's, etc.) that can be accessed via your domain name. These files will not be able to be displayed within the site, but you can link out to them.

To make a file appear on your domain name (such as yourdomain.com/filename.ext) you will need to do the following:

1. create the file and upload it to your website via ftp (into the public_html folder, or within a folder in the public_html folder). Further instructions on using ftp can be found at: http://www.portfoliositez.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=6

To Link out the the file in a text section you will need to do the following:

1. in the text section enter the link to the file in the link area of the text editor (bottom right). To do this you will need to write out the link text (such as 'click here for the pdf'). You should then highlight it and then go to the bottom right hand corner of the text editor to enter the link itself. It is very important the link includes the http and is a full link. For instance entering 'yourdomain.com/pdffile.pdf' will give an error. The link should be 'http://www.yourdomain.com/pdffile.pdf'.

Please note: if you uploaded the file directly into the public_html folder then the link would be yourdomain.com/filename.ext or just filename.ext (filenames are case sensitive)
