Congrats! Handsome little guy :-)
God bless!
What a cutie!!! Thanks for sharing.
Two pieces of advice!
- grandparents
- forget sleep for 10 years
I never did that find that magic sleep recipe but did find it so much easier to cope with the second and third time I had a baby! I definitely believe that the first one is sent to torment us ;)
Best wishes and love to all!
Congrats! What a cutie.
As far as sleep, several people recommended this book to me and it has become my sleep bible. "Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child" by Marc Weissbluth.
Yes! Buy The Healthy Sleep Habits book! I give it to all my friends that are new moms! It's the best book ever! :) He's a genius!
Congrats!
Congratulations!! He's adorable!
Congrats Jen, he's a doll! I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but I wouldn't even try to worry about him sleeping through the night this young. Not sure if you're breastfeeding or not, but breastfed babies especially, do not sleep all night for a quite a while. The good part, that's totally normal and soon you'll realize that you've just gotten used to it. The best advice I can give, it DON'T buy that book just yet. He is far too little to sleep train anyway. Just try to accept that he's going to night wake, it's normal and someday, it will pass. The sooner you start to accept that, the better you'll feel, I promise you. Just try to enjoy what 3 & 4 hr stretches of sleep you can find here and there. My daughter is 22 months old and still wakes up at least once every night. And I work full-time, do photography part-time, design part-time and I'm still standing! lol Just remember, moms are given extra special strength to get through these times...dads don't have it, lol :)
Hmm, are you Brown's fans? LOL He's so hansome!! Congrats!!
As for the sleep, try the No Cry Sleep Solution!
Oh goodness Jen, how sweet. Well, I'm a mother of five, and an RN and I know that sleep is a challenge, but I must recommend you embrace those night feedings as normal, and not a problem. Babies needs that are attended to quickly and attentively, research shows, are better adjusted and more intelligent. If your breastfeeding, I'm an advocate of bed sharing. There is much evidence that the only babies who are ever in danger are those with parents that are altered by drugs or alcohol.
Parenthood is SUCH an adjustment, but so worth it! Hang in there!

Go get the book "Baby wise" and read it. I have two children and I saw a huge difference when I applied it to the second child. It's all about a feeding/sleep schedule. Go to the library first, they may have it.
